Is my account hacked?

HI . HELP ME MICROSOFT

I have two important questions.

  1. Recently, I have received emails with the subject of "You have been hacked" and if you do not deposit $1350 to this account number, we will distribute your information and photos and texts like this. And one of them had written me one of the passwords that had been on my account for a long time to prove his point in his email

I took photos of all these emails and reported them as phishing and deleted them.

are they just a simple scam ? they really hacked my device or account? how can i stop them sending this things to me?

note) i added another alias to my main account for loggin in my ac but they wrote my main account name in they emails (i mean they wrote wrong information)

  1. A few times when I wasn't using my computer and went to sleep, after I came to use it, it would write on the lock screen because you entered the wrong password a few times, enter this thing that you see in the picture, and then I'll let you enter your password.

note) just i was in my room in that times and i sure nobody had not access to my laptop

Is this a case of hacking? if yes what can i do?

Sorry for bad language typing

Thanks for support

Hi, I'm John!

I understand your concern. I'm here to help you with the information you need.

From what you’ve described, it sounds like you’re dealing with a scam email known as a sextortion scam. The message is meant to scare you into paying money, but in reality, these scammers haven’t actually hacked your device or account, they’re just trying to trick you. The old password they mentioned was likely leaked in a past data breach. You did the right thing by reporting and deleting the emails!

Are you still locked out of Windows Hello, or can you sign in now?

Do you still have access to your Microsoft account, and are you currently signed in?

> Checking if you still have access to your Microsoft account and making sure you're currently signed in. If you’re locked out, let me know.

Just to be safe, I’d recommend to sign out everywhere https://account.live.com/proofs/manage/additional Scroll down to Sign me out and select Sign me out.

And changing your password again and enabling two-step verification if you haven’t already. This will add an extra layer of security to prevent future unauthorized access.

"What is: Multifactor Authentication" https://support.microsoft.com/topic/what-is-mul...

"How to use two-step verification with your Microsoft account" https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/h...

If you notice anything unusual in your account settings or purchase history, you might also want to check the Microsoft account security page https://account.microsoft.com/security to review recent activity.

Contact Microsoft support and report the hack:

Here is the link: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact

> Type this keyword and press Enter: Contact Support.

> At the bottom, click "Sign in to contact support" and sign in with your personal Microsoft account, or click "Contact Support" if you're already signed in.

> In Product and services, select "Windows".

> In Category, select "Technical support."

> Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

If you ever find yourself stuck in a loop, please use the keywords "Contact Support" or "Live Chat" (without the quotes) and click "Contact Support" at the bottom.

Should you need further information please let me know.

I really hope this information is helpful!

Regards,

John J.D.

    HI JOHN

Thank you for telling me they didn't really hack my system & account.

    1. No, it didn't lock and just wrote once to make sure you are yourself, write A1B2C3 and then entered my password and logged in without any problem. actually Every 3 times that I encountered this problem in a row, it was in 1 day that my laptop was constantly on (without Wi-Fi _cause my modem was dead) , before these three times, when I turned it on, the keyboard button got stuck and the password was wrong .I saw this problem 3 times, and that was when the laptop was going to sleep and I was shaking the mouse again to wake it up. And after a complete shutdown, I didn't see any more
    2. and about the account , in now i have full control in my account , past year, i noticed someone every half hour for about 5 months was trying to enter my account ( i noticed from see sign in activity) so i changed my password to a 67-digit password, added a alias account so that I could access my original account information only through the email id of this new account , turned on the 2 step verification and turned on every security option and 3 things of windows hello and my account only is in my XBOX AND LAPTOP And finally, after all of this, I hit the sign out from everywhere option and logged in to my account with the new password.

i just wrote my password on my room wall

do you think now my account is secure now ? xD

    thanks for your support again

    have a good day
