How to set a HEX number for composing messages in Outlook

Hello

I can't seem to set a HEX code for font colour in my Outlook settings. I can change it when composing an email but I would like to set it as a default colour.

The only options I seem to have is a grid of 30 preset colours with no option for 'More colours' at the bottom.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've just started at a new small/start-up company and they want me to use the company colours.

Hello @Rosie,

Thank you for your question and for explaining your use case so clearly.

At the moment, setting a font color using a HEX value is a known limitation in New Outlook for Windows. The current editor only supports a fixed set of preset colors and does not provide a “More colors” option or a field to enter a HEX code. This is expected behavior based on the current product design.

As a temporary workaround, if using an exact company brand color is important, you may consider using Classic Outlook (desktop), which still supports advanced font settings, including custom colors defined by HEX values.
