Urgent help to access my BitLocker

It’s very frustrating for me to be locked out of my device. I urgently need advice on how to regain access to my BitLocker recovery key. I cannot sign in to my Microsoft account because of two-step verification issues, and without the recovery key I will lose two years of important work.

The problem started when I updated Window ls and because I am using a new phone and no longer have access to the Microsoft Authenticator app that was linked to my old device. Without it, I cannot pass the two-step verification to reach my BitLocker recovery key.

I have already tried using the account recovery form, but because of two-step verification the request is ignored. This has turned into an endless cycle where I cannot recover my account without 2FA, and I cannot access 2FA without my account.

Could you please tell me what steps I should take in this case to recover my BitLocker key or regain access to my account?

Hello

Do you know your Microsoft account password? If so, look for an option like “Show more verification methods” to see if you have a backup (e.g., a phone number or alternate email).

If you don’t have access to any of the options listed, select “I don’t have any of these.” This will begin the recovery process. As part of that process, Microsoft will let you add new contact information — but only after a 30-day waiting period.

This 30-day delay is intentional. It’s a security safeguard designed to protect users in case someone else tries to hijack their account by changing recovery info. The wait gives the rightful owner time to notice and stop unauthorized changes.

Unfortunately, this policy cannot be bypassed.
