Can I use OneDrive to transfer a large file (45 GB) from one laptop to another? Both HP, source computer running Win 10, target computer running Win 11?

I have just started the free 30-day trial of OneDrive with 100GB of storage.

I also need to know how to select that file on the source computer. The help video wasn't helpful. Thanks. Mark.

Hello,

You certainly can.

If you just plan on using it for this one file, you might want to consider doing it web based so you don't have to deal with the other "side effects" OneDrive can bring to both computers if you run the OneDrive app.

Via the web, go to https://www.onedrive.com Sign into your Microsoft account. Simply use the upload file option to upload this file.

Once uploaded, on the other computer, go to the www.onedrive.com as well, sign in, and then download the file. That's all you need.
