Keyboard input stops working in windowed games when Windows notifications pop up
Dear Microsoft Community,
I am experiencing an issue where my keyboard input becomes unresponsive while playing a game (MapleStory) in windowed mode.
Whenever a Windows notification appears (e.g., from the LINE desktop app), the game window seems to lose focus. Even after the notification disappears or I click back into the game, the keyboard input within the game remains unresponsive. To regain control, I am forced to Alt-Tab out of the game and then back into it to "re-focus" the window.
System Details:
- OS: Windows 11 (請依照您的實際版本修改)
Game: MapleStory
Mode: Windowed Mode
Issue: Keyboard input locks up after an external notification triggers a focus shift.
Steps I have tried:
Enabled "Focus Assist" (Do Not Disturb) to block notifications.
Verified that the game is running in windowed mode.
Ensured Windows and keyboard drivers are up to date.
Since this happens specifically when notifications pop up, is there a setting in Windows to prevent notifications from stealing focus or affecting the input priority of an active window? Any insights on why the keyboard does not automatically re-register with the game window would be greatly appreciated.
