Device State Recovery Mechanism in UWP + FullTrust Architecture

Hello,

We are currently developing under the UWP + FullTrust Process architecture. With this setup, we are able to successfully modify and apply configuration values.

However, we are facing the following challenge:

After the system goes through S4 (hibernate → resume) or shutdown → reboot, certain device-related state values are reset to default.

Therefore, the application needs to provide a recovery mechanism to restore these states once the system resumes.

The issue is that the FullTrust Process only starts when the UWP app is launched, and lacks the ability to run persistently in the background. This makes it difficult to perform automatic state recovery during system startup or resume.

Question: Within UWP or Desktop Bridge, is there any supported way to enable a service-like persistent background mechanism, so that the application can automatically restore device state values after system restart or resume?

We would appreciate any recommendations, best practices, or alternative solutions.
