Hi KKChen2!
thank you for coming back.
I'm glad you provided feedback in the To-Do app. I totally understand your feelings at this, but we have new information on this issue. So, it is true that there is no Recycle Bin for the To Do application itself which is can be very useful to easily access deleted items, but we have done more testing. Yesterday, when we copied the issue at the end, it seemed that one of our test accounts was not working properly because it made it impossible for tasks that we thought had been deleted to go to the Deleted Items folder in outlook.com. Today we tested it further and with different test accounts, we found that once you delete the task in the To-Do application, it will be reflected in the Deleted Items folder of the outlook.com, and there is also an option for you to delete it. We even tried to register other domains like Gmail as Microsoft accounts. We tested it and it seems to be working too. We can also view deleted tasks in outlook.com. Therefore, 1 out of 3 test accounts does not work.
We want you to have a good experience with Microsoft To Do app, and for that reason, we will coordinate with our internal teams regarding to this matter so that this kind of problem will be avoided in the future.
For reference, we have a link here to a video recording of the tests we did. https://bit.ly/3hCWt9a
We sincerely, thank you for your kind consideration and understanding.
