Hello Spark,
Thank you for posting question on Microsoft Windows Forum.
Based on the issue description, this might suggest that the print subsystem / Settings UI and the control-plane that Settings reads are out of sync after an update.
The following are some suggested troubleshooting steps you can try to give it a shot.
1.Restart the Print Spooler Service.
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.
-
- This will force Windows to resync printers with Settings.
2.Run the Printer Troubleshooter.
- Navigate to the following path:
- Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters.
- Run the Printer troubleshooter to detect and fix missing entries
3.Reset the printing system.
- Run the following commands as Administrator in PowerShell or an elevated Command Prompt.
- net stop spooler
- del /q /f "%systemroot%\system32\spool\PRINTERS*"
- net start spooler
- After restarting spooler, reopen Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners and see if printers reappear.
4.Reinstall Printer Drivers.
- Open Device Manager → Printers.
- Right-click your printer → Uninstall device.
- Reboot and reinstall the manufacturer's latest driver for your model (download from vendor site).
5.Check Windows Update Patches.
- Microsoft often releases cumulative fixes after major updates.
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates and install any pending patches.
