No text input field in Teams on Safari

Hi. I'm accessing Teams through https://teams.cloud.microsoft, using Safari 27.0 (21625.1.29.18.28) on macOS. I can't send messages in chats and posts, as the input field is not clickable and doesn't show the grey 'input text' prompt and the purple highlight as teams web on other devices does (e.g. through Safari on iPad).

If possible, please also provide a screenshot showing the area where the input field should appear. Before sharing it, please hide all names, email addresses, school information, and other sensitive details.

The behavior may be related to how Teams for the web loads the message-composing component in Safari 27 on macOS. To help determine whether the issue is specific to Safari, could you please sign in to Teams using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome on the same Mac and check whether the text input field works there?

Please share the result of this test and the requested screenshot. This information will help determine whether the issue is limited to Safari or related to the Teams account or a specific conversation.

The input field in all chats and channel posts are unclickable. The input field works on Chrome on my Mac.

Beisdes, `the 'reply with quote button' on messages also doesn't work. Nothing happens after clicking it; the text field remains blank.

Since the input field and Reply with quote work correctly in Chrome on the same Mac, while the issue affects all chats and channel posts only in Safari, the behavior appears to be specific to Safari 27 rather than your Teams account or messaging permissions.

For now, I recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as a temporary workaround. Please also keep Safari and macOS updated and test again after the next available browser or operating system update.
