Dear Microsoft Support Engineer,

I am a user of Microsoft 365 E5 Developer Subscription. I have lost the admin permission for my OneDrive, and I cannot access or manage my OneDrive data normally. The error message shows:

Error trying to get OneDrive settings

All my important data is stored in OneDrive without backup. Could you please temporarily restore or grant me a few more days of OneDrive admin permission so that I can retrieve and back up my data?

Please help resolve this permission issue. Thank you very much for your assistance!

    Hello sala byby

Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum.

Please note that, as a forum moderator, I do not have access to the internal systems required to investigate individual account‑related issues due to privacy and security constraints. In addition, the qualification and renewal process for Microsoft 365 Developer Program tenants is fully automated and based on predefined algorithms and telemetry. As a result, I’m unable to manually reset or override Developer Program eligibility.

To confirm my understanding, it appears that your Developer Program subscription has expired, right?

If that’s correct, please be aware that there is a 30‑day grace period during which data can still be accessed and migrated. During the subsequent 30 days, only global administrators can sign in to the tenant. After 60 days, the subscription and all associated data are permanently deleted.

I recommend signing in to your Developer Program dashboard at https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/profile to verify the exact expiration date of your tenant. For example:

If this does not match your situation, please share more details about the issue. For example, are you still able to access other services besides OneDrive, or have you lost global admin access? I’ll be happy to take another look based on the additional information.

    Looking forward to your reply.
