Does Publisher not support inserting math formulas?

I just tried to use Publisher in the office suite, but did not find an entry to insert formulas. As far as I know, Word has the most comprehensive support for math formulas, and you can even change math fonts. PowerPoint doesn't allow you to change math fonts, but you can get by with the default cambria math. But in Publisher, there is no entrance to insert math formula. And when I copied a paragraph with a math formula from Word to Publisher, I found that the formula was converted to a low quality bitmap image.
Please tell me clearly whether Publisher does not provide support for math formulas? Or is there another compromise? Originally I was planning to use Publisher to create a research poster to get a more professional layout. But if it doesn't support math formula input, I'll have to go back to using PowerPoint.

As per your description, you want to know if Publisher supports inserting math formulas.

If the understanding above is right, as per the search and test on our side, we're afraid to tell that there's no out of box way supported for Math Formulas in Publisher currently. Given this, we'd recommend you use Word/PowerPoint as a workaround. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Personally, I completely agree with you, this is indeed a good addition to the current experience in Publisher. We’d suggest you go to Help > Feedback to send request for the feature within Publisher. Feedback submit by this way directly goes to the related team, this is the best way to let Publisher developers know your requirements and comments, help improve the product and make it better for you and others.
