since some days ago my hotmail can not login in outlook in my MacBook Air, but can login with website and my iphone. i have tried some ways (like change to a new passwords), still the same situation. Thanks in advance for your help .

I think i didnt describe the problem correctly, I dont have outlook app in my macbook air, it is the “Email app” come with the macbook itself. since last tuesday i can not login anymore, but i am quite sure the name and the password are right, cause i can login with my phone and also on the website.

The macOS version should be later than v10.14 in order for the Apple Mail app to access hotmail mailbox. This is because only the later version of macOS supports the modern authentication( oauth2 ). The Apple Mail app is the stock email app on a macBook computer.

Thanks for your message. It is MacOS Sierra - 10.12.6

Okay. Your Outlook desktop should be Outlook 2021 or Outlook for M365 in order to access your hotmail mailbox. The macOS version should be later than v10.14 in order to access hotmail with Apple Mail app.
