Issue Summary: Following the most recent Windows 11 update, EA FC 26 now suffers a hard crash to the desktop the exact moment the game attempts to connect to EA servers. The OS update has fundamentally corrupted the network/gaming stack, making a major AAA title completely unplayable online.

System Environment:

  • OS: Windows 11 (Latest update)

Game: EA FC 26

Security: Windows Defender ONLY (No 3rd-party Antivirus software installed to interfere)

Steps to Reproduce:

Launch EA FC 26 normally.

Proceed past the initial loading screens.

Trigger the prompt to connect to EA Online Servers.

RESULT: The game instantly crashes to the desktop with no error code. (Playing offline works perfectly, proving this is an OS-level networking/handshake issue introduced by your update).

Troubleshooting Steps Exhausted (Do NOT reply with generic troubleshooting scripts):

Flushed DNS, reset Winsock, and completely reset the Windows networking stack.

Reinstalled EA AntiCheat, the EA App, and verified all game files.

Disabled all background apps/overlays and performed a clean boot.

Reversed and uninstalled the latest Windows 11 updates. Even after rolling back the update, the game continues to crash, which clearly indicates your update left permanent registry or network stack corruption that a standard rollback fails to clean up.

Feedback to the Development Team: It is absolutely unacceptable that a standard, forced OS update can completely break the online connectivity of one of the most popular games in the world. The level of incompetence required to push a live update to millions of users without basic network and gaming compatibility testing is staggering.

Your user base should not be forced to act as unpaid beta testers, wasting hours troubleshooting and reversing their operating systems just to fix what your QA team completely missed. Windows updates are supposed to improve system stability, not permanently break the network layer for gaming. Escalate this to your engineering team immediately and issue a patch to fix whatever networking components your latest update destroyed.Issue Summary:

Please note that this is Turkish Q&A Forum, any threads should be posted in Turkish. However, I will still provide an answer on English based on your initial response.

    Hi yigit dalkılıç,

I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after you have already tried extensive troubleshooting and the game still crashes without an error.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. My role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

Since EA FC 26 works offline but crashes when connecting to EA servers, it would be helpful to identify the exact component causing the crash. Could you please provide:

    • Your Windows version and OS build shown in winver
    • The KB number of the Windows update installed before the issue began
    • The crash details from Reliability Monitor, particularly the faulting application/module name and exception code

You can open Reliability Monitor by searching for View reliability history, select the EA FC 26 crash, and choose View technical details. Please remove any personal information before posting a screenshot.

Because rolling back the update did not resolve the issue, the available information does not yet confirm whether the cause is Windows itself, EA AntiCheat, the EA app, a driver, or another compatibility component. I also recommend reporting the issue through the Feedback Hub and using Recreate my problem while reproducing the crash so that relevant diagnostic data can be included. Feedback Hub is the appropriate channel for reporting unexpected Windows behavior and attaching recordings or screenshots.

It would also be worth sharing the crash details with EA Support, as EA can review game, server-connection, and AntiCheat-specific logs. I know this isn't the news you were hoping for, but I wanted to make sure you got the most accurate information about your situation. Thank you so much for your understanding.
