Connect the PC to the internet, select Sign-in options > Password on the lock screen, and sign in with the password of the new primary alias. If the password option does not work, hold Shift while selecting Power > Restart, then choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart > F5 (Safe Mode with Networking) and sign in using the password, not the PIN.
Once signed in, go to Settings > Accounts > Your info > Sign in with a local account instead. Create a temporary local password, sign out, and log back in. Then return to the same page, select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead, and connect the profile using the new Hotmail alias. Restart and create the PIN from Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. This rebinds the existing Windows profile without deleting its files. If neither normal nor Safe Mode password sign-in is possible, the supported recovery option is Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Keep my files; this preserves personal files but removes installed applications and settings.
