Dear Utku Ugurlu
Please note that this is a user-to-user community. As moderators, we have limited access to internal development details. Our role is to direct users to the appropriate support channels and resources. While we cannot provide backend analysis, we will do our best to assist within our responsibilities.
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I understand your Outlook.com account appears compromised and incoming messages are being manipulated into Drafts with a scam/blackmail template. Please follow these steps:
- Lock down the Microsoft account first
- Go to your Microsoft account Security page and add/update sign-in verification methods (email/phone/app), so you regain control of verification options.
- Sign out everywhere (ends active sessions across browsers/apps).
- Add Microsoft Authenticator as a verification method (stronger sign-in protection).
- Remove any connected apps/services that can modify mailbox content
- Go to Microsoft account App access and remove anything you don’t recognize.
- Remove malicious server-side rules
- In Outlook on the web settings, review Mail > Rules and delete/disable any rule you didn’t create (especially anything moving mail to Drafts, forwarding, redirecting, or deleting).
- Verify forwarding is OFF (attackers often enable this to keep control)
- In Outlook.com Settings, go to Mail > Forwarding and make sure “Enable forwarding” is cleared/saved.
- Scan the device you use to access the mailbox
- Run a malware scan using Microsoft Defender
- If you cannot sign in to fix any of the above
- Please see Help with the Microsoft account recovery form - Microsoft Support and fill in the Account Recovery Form. If the ACSR fails, contact Microsoft Support:
- Visit Contact - Microsoft Support
- Type a brief description of your issue in the search box
- Scroll down to the bottom > select Sign in to contact support
- Log in to another available personal Microsoft account.
- Under Products & Services, select "Other Products"; Under Categories, select "Manage account security", and click Confirm.
- Click "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" (during business hours)
