Thank you for following the steps, Ismail. Let’s try some steps to narrow this down.
Please check and try these steps:
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:
powercfg -a
Check if Hibernate and Fast Startup are listed as available. If they are, Hibernate did not fully disable. Run:
powercfg -h off
and then restart.
- Check Task Scheduler for Resume tasks
Press Windows + R, type taskschd.msc, press Enter.
In the Task Scheduler Library, look under Microsoft > Windows.
Expand UpdateOrchestrator, Application Experience, TaskScheduler. See if there are “Resume” or “Reboot” tasks set to trigger after resume. Right-click and disable them if unnecessary.
- Clean Boot test
Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
Reboot. If “Resume” no longer consumes RAM, a third-party app is hooking into Windows Resume.
- Update your storage, graphics, and chipset drivers from your PC or motherboard manufacturer.
Outdated storage, chipset, or graphics drivers can cause Resume to hang and eat memory.
- If the issue is still the same, performing an In-place repair upgrade will be our last resort.
This will fix persistent Resume process issues.
It will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair many issues without deleting any files. Usually, it is used to repair corrupted system files, apps, and even incompatible drivers on the system.
Here's how.
Go to the official Microsoft page:
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
Under "Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)," select Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO) and click Download.
After downloading, right-click the ISO file and click Mount.
Open the new virtual drive that appears and run setup.exe.
On the installer screen
Choose “Keep personal files and apps” when prompted.
Follow the on-screen steps to complete the installation.
This process can take up to 1 hour and may include multiple restarts. After it completes, Windows will be refreshed while keeping all your data intact.
All the best!
