Order of the people waiting in the wait room

Hi,

I **** using Teams for interviews. In a given period of time, let say between 1pm-3 pm many people are coming and waiting in the wait room. They appear in the lobby screen in an alphabetic order. It would be really very useful if I could see them in order depending on time they enter the lobby. Thus I could let people in, in a more fair order. I do not want people who come to the lobby wait longer just because of her/her name. An example:

Time slot is between 1pm - 3 pm

Julia enters lobby at 1.30

Sam enters at 13.35

Adam enters at 13.45

Adam appears on top of the list just because of his name starts with A.

Names appear in this order: Adam, Julia, Sam

However I would like to see names as follows: Julia, Sam, Adam

Is there any solution for this?

I can not make participants use any paid feature but I can pay for this if there is a paid feature.

Thanks!

Yeliz

    Hello Yeliz,

    Welcome to the community

My name is Ibrahim, a fellow Microsoft user and I will try my best to assist you.

Unfortunately there is no feature to order people in the lobby by time of entrance, It's always alphabetically by default

There is some alternatives for you situation: When you create the meeting, set the meeting options to disable the attendee's microphone. When the attendee join the meeting, they are not able to activate their mic. When the Q&A part begins, students can use the "raise your hand"- feature if they have a question. And for some time now, the order of the raised hands has been displayed in the Teams client for the presenter. Then you activate the mic for each student in the correct order.

You can also use Bookings feature,

Please check this Article with same Issue discussed and more details about bookings feature:

Hope it helps you. Please let me know if you still need further assistance.
