Thank you for letting me know.
Since Excel is the only one closing and it happens with any file, it sounds more like an issue with Excel itself rather than your individual workbooks. Let’s try a few things to narrow it down:
- Update Office: Open any Office app, go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now to make sure Excel is fully up to date.
- Start Excel in Safe Mode: Press Windows key + R, type excel /safe, and hit Enter. Then try refreshing the PivotTable. If it doesn’t crash, an add-in might be causing the problem.
- Disable Add-ins: In Excel, go to File > Options > Add-ins. At the bottom, set “Manage” to COM Add-ins and click Go. Uncheck everything, restart Excel, and test again.
- Repair Office: Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select Microsoft 365, then choose Change > Quick Repair. If the issue continues, try Online Repair.
Let me know how it goes.
