Download and run Windows Defender Offline.

You may also use the following utility to Run a Scan in Safe Mode.

GMER is an application that detects and removes rootkits.

To Enter Safe Mode

In Cortana Search Bar (next to Start Button) > Type MSconfig > Press Enter

Click on Boot Tab

Select Safe Boot

Click Apply, Ok

Reboot the computer and Windows will load in Safe Mode

Run Gmer scan

When finished, go back to Start search > Type MSconfig > Press Enter

Click on Boot Tab

Uncheck Safe Boot

Click Apply, Ok

Reboot the computer and Windows will load in Normal Mode.
