Hello,
I’ve noticed a possible issue on the Microsoft website where Microsoft Edge WebView2 can be downloaded. When attempting to download any of the available WebView2 installers (for example, Evergreen Bootstrapper, Evergreen Standalone, or Fixed Version), a Terms of Service page is displayed, but it does not consistently appear in the correct language.
Even when accessing the site with English or Swedish language settings, the Terms of Service shown during the download process are often displayed in an unexpected language. In my experience, the content has most frequently appeared in Russian or Simplified Chinese, and on one occasion in Dutch.
This behavior makes it difficult to review the Terms of Service properly and may indicate a localization or language-detection issue affecting the WebView2 download flow. I would appreciate it if someone could help confirm whether this is a known issue or forward this feedback to the appropriate team.
Thank you for your time.

Since you're posting on Swedish forum and using English, therefore I will engage using the same language as the original post.
Hi ViktorB,
Thank you for reaching out. This does appear to be a real site-localization issue rather than a problem with your Windows installation or with the WebView2 runtime itself.
A very similar report is already publicly listed in the official WebView2Feedback repository: Issue #5545 reports that the Evergreen Standalone Installer license agreement can appear in Russian even when the user opens the official English or Finnish WebView2 download page. (Link reference for further description here: License agreement of Evergreen Standalone Installer is displayed in Russian language. #5545)
While I do not see a published fix or ETA yet, your report is consistent with an existing known bug report. In your case, the behavior sounds broader because you are also seeing Simplified Chinese and Dutch, and you mention it can happen across multiple installer choices, not just one.
Here are a few practical things you can try while waiting for a fix:
Because this appears to be a website-side language selection problem, there may not be a reliable end-user fix if the service is choosing the wrong localization on the backend. In that case, the next step is to contact Microsoft Support so they can review and correct the download flow.
I hope this helps confirm that you are not the only one seeing it, and that your report is valid.
