Event Viewer id 10111 and 10110

A few weeks ago my screens froze and disconnected. I've had to do a hard reset to get my computer to start again. This has happened at least 30 times this last month and I can't do anything about it. I've been in contact with Microsoft support two times, but they only urged me to update my (already updated) drivers, and reinstall my (newly reinstalled) windows and it didn't help.

According to my event viewer, The device HID-compliant headset (location (unknown)) is offline due to a user-mode driver crash. Windows will attempt to restart the device 5 more times. Please contact the device manufacturer for more information about this problem. I uninstalled the HID-compliant headset, but it froze anyway. I followed the guide in this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/l3v2f0/psa\_i\_finally\_found\_a\_fix\_for\_the\_hidcompliant/

which didn't work. I checked the temperature of my CPU and GPU just before a freeze, and they were both stable at 60 degrees Celcius. I've deleted my drivers for my Razer Blackshark V2 and my GPU. Deleted and installed the USB root hubs, but the computer froze while my headset wasn't connected. I can't do anything and I'm really desperate.

My specs are:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz

16 Gb RAM

Nvidia Geforce gtx 1660 Ventus ti

MSI b450-a max pro

My headset is Razer black shark v2, wired with a razer USB soundboard

x64 windows 10 home.

I'm grateful for any answers!

    Good morning Pynkvortex,

Thanks for getting back to me!

I'm happy to hear that the issue haven't returned after the change of Headphones, as that leads us to the conclusion that it was a hardware fault.

I just want to add that, if you come across any other issues in the future, you are more than welcome to reach out to us again.

If you've got no further questions for the time being, I wish you a great week and a nice day! 😊

    Best regards

    Ramses

    Good afternoon Pynkvortex,

I just wanted to check in on you, to see if you have found the solution? If so, would you like to share it for other users to be able to find it easier? If no solution have been found, it is most likely a hardware fault.

Let me know if you have any other questions as well.

    Have a nice week! 😊

    Best regards

I stress tested my hardware and reinstalled Windows, and after I reinstalled Windows I didn't plug in my razer headset and bought a new pair. It hasn't frozen yet. So I think the razer headset messed up my windows.

In my case buying a new one from another manufacturer helped.

    Hi Pynkvortex,

Thanks for getting back to us!

As you say that you've done more or less everything including new headset, I'd say it may be worth with another format, and re-installation if you're up for it. If the issue persists after that, the issue is Hardware related, and may have to do with the USB Ports, or the Motherboard.

What you can do, is to preform a stress test on the PC, in order to see if that can provide enough data on what it is that is going on when it's freezing and/or disconnecting. The manufacturer of your motherboard may have software available for download, that can preform tests on your hardware.

Please let me know if there is anything else we can do for you, or if you have any further questions.

    Have a great evening! 😊

    Best regards

    Ramses

Thanks for the files! We had a look and the last error recorded there was on the 2nd of August and as I understand you, the device has been freezing after that point as well. Since Windows doesn't register any errors after the 2nd of August but the device keeps freezing, this indicates that the problem is hardware related.

What I recommend is that you contact the device manufacturer about this to stress test the components and get further support with this issue. You can also try to format the device and reinstall Windows again but from your original post I understand that you have already tried this without success so it may be better to contact the manufacturer straight away.

If there is anything else we can do here, just let me know. Have a nice day!😊
