Need to switch hotkeys for swapping between hiragana and romaji on japanese IME

Currently the hotkey seems to be ALT + ~ . However my physical keyboard is swedish and i don't have an easy way of pressing "tilde". Infact typing ~ requires using another hotkey so pressing ALT + ~ , to complete the original hotkey is impossible for me. All I want is a hotkey that I can acctually use on my keyboard. Therefore if I could know how to change the hotkey myself then I could choose an appropriate one for my physicall keyboard.

    Hi h hZP,

    Thank you for those screenshots, I understand the problem now, there is no method or a registry have to change that key sequence, the best option would be to click that 'Send Feedback' option your second screenshot and provide feedback to the developers there indicating the option to set a new keyboard shortcut is required.

    Here is the picture I assume you are asking for ^^^

    And below is a picture of what I need help with. As you can see, japanese is already selected the problem is that it is in "Half-width Alphanumeric" mode and not in Hiragana mode. The hotkey to switch between them is "ALT + ~ " but as I previously mentioned I am unable to use that hotkey on my computer because of my keyboard. I just want to know if there is a way to change that hotkey.

    Please provide a screenshot of that utility for changing the hot keys for languages, so I can see the settings you have available

    I'm sorry but this does not solve my issue. I am already able to switch to japanese with a hotkey. The issue is that once I have switched to japanese there are then two "modes" that the japanese keyboard can be in, one for writing in romanji(while still having japanese selected as a language) and one for writing in hiragana.

    I have no need to write in romanji on the japanese keyboard but when I switch to the japanese keyboard it will sometimes be in "romanji mode" which then requires me to click the hotkey ALT ~ or a small button in the corner of my screen with my mouse, in order to swap back to hiragana. This slows down my flow of typing when I need to switch between languages.

    What I want is to change that hotkey, the one that is ALT ~ . Swapping between languages already has the hotkey ALT + Shift which is no problem.

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Open the Settings App, then go to Time & Language - Typing - Advanced Keyboard Settings

    Click 'Input Language Hotkeys'

    There you can select that language and click 'Change Key Sequence' and set your preferred keyboard shortcut.
