Windows 11 build 26200 audio capture stream stall (microphone freezes after 1 second)

Hello.

I am experiencing a serious microphone capture issue on Windows 11 Pro build 26200 (25H2).

Hardware: Dell Alienware m18 R1 Intel i9-13900HX NVIDIA RTX 4080

Problem:

Microphones work correctly in Windows Sound Settings test. Audio level meter responds normally.

However, in all applications (Discord, web browsers, voice recorders), the microphone stream starts and then freezes after about one second.

Important details:

• The microphone device does NOT disconnect

It remains visible in the system

Only the audio stream stops updating

This affects both built-in digital microphone and external USB microphone

Troubleshooting already done:

Clean reinstall of Windows

BIOS update

Driver reinstall (Intel Smart Sound, Realtek, USB Audio)

Disabled Intel Smart Sound DSP

Disabled audio enhancements

Reset microphone privacy settings

Older Windows builds work normally on the same hardware.

This looks like an audio capture graph stall or microphone privacy broker regression.

Diagnostic logs available:

dxdiag report

msinfo report

Event Viewer logs

WebRTC internal dump

audio capture traces

This system has a valid Windows license.

Please escalate this issue to the Windows audio driver team.
