Hi Blowtheroof,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand how confusing it is when Wi-Fi bars drop after an update. Based on your screenshot, your RSSI of -46 dBm and speed of 433 Mbps indicate an excellent connection. The change you see is likely due to KB5072033 adjusting how Windows calculates signal percentage, so it’s cosmetic rather than a real issue.
First, if the lower bars bother you, you can uninstall KB5072033 via Settings → Windows Update → Update History → Uninstall Updates. Second, updating your TP-Link driver from the manufacturer’s site may help with compatibility. Third, if performance is fine, you can safely ignore the percentage and rely on RSSI and speed instead.
Last, I recommend submitting feedback through Feedback Hub so Microsoft can review this change. Your connection is strong, and nothing suggests a real problem just a display inconsistency.
Regards,
Carlo
