Regarding your concern, the red cross icon typically indicates a synchronization error in OneDrive. This can happen due to a problematic file or folder. I recommend checking the folder and its subfolders to identify any files that might be causing the issue.
To reset OneDrive synchronization, follow these steps:
- Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Enter the following command and press Enter:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
- Wait 2–3 minutes for OneDrive to restart automatically.
If it doesn’t start, you can manually open OneDrive from the Start menu.
If the issue persists, please locate the white or blue OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray.
- Right-click the icon and select Settings.
- Click Unlink this PC.
- Follow the prompts to relink your PC and sign back into OneDrive.
