How can I stream Bluetooth heart-rate data into Teams & Power BI for a company fitness challenge?

Context

My company is spinning up a 30-day remote-fitness challenge. We’ll hold live workout sessions over Microsoft Teams and want to display each participant’s heart-rate zone in real time.

Goal

• Capture Bluetooth LE heart-rate data (Polar H10, Wahoo TICKR, etc.) from users’ Windows 11 laptops or Surface devices
• Push that data to a Power BI streaming dataset
• Display a live dashboard in a Teams meeting side panel (or channel tab) so everyone can see effort levels while training

Questions

1. What’s the best lightweight method to ingest BLE sensor data on Windows—UWP app, WinRT API, or a third-party service like Azure IoT Hub?
2. Are there sample Power Automate or Azure Functions templates that take Bluetooth payloads and write straight to a Power BI push dataset?
3. Any security considerations (device pairing, user consent) I should account for before we distribute instructions company-wide?
