Static Web App custom domain stuck in "Deleting" — cannot remove

Summary

Custom domain scout.ndbim.eu on Static Web App swa-radar-dev-001 (West Europe, Free SKU) has been stuck in status "Deleting" since 2026-08-12. Create failed on Azure's side; every delete attempt fails after ~10 minutes with ResourceOperationFailure. Self-service paths are exhausted.

What happened

Added the custom domain via CNAME validation. Creation failed with the unknown error above. Resource then entered Deleting and never cleared.

The async status endpoint returns Failed with no error payload. CLI reports: Operation returned an invalid status 'OK'.

Already tried

• Removed CNAME for scout.ndbim.eu at Cloudflare; verified gone via 1.1.1.1 and authoritative NS
• Confirmed no TXT at _dnsauth.scout.ndbim.eu
• Retried delete after DNS removal — same failure
• Portal delete, az staticwebapp hostname delete, and raw ARM REST DELETE — all fail the same way

Please force-remove the wedged customDomains child scout.ndbim.eu so the name can be reused. Happy to share subscription / full resource ID privately with a Microsoft engineer.
