Uma família de softwares de planilhas da Microsoft com ferramentas para analisar, criar gráficos e comunicar dados
Hi @Henzim
It is possible to run Power Automate from within Excel, but there is an important distinction. Excel supports running flows through the Automate tab / Power Automate pane in Excel for the web and desktop.
If you mean a button placed directly on the worksheet, Microsoft’s native button option is currently for Office Scripts, not for directly binding a worksheet button to a Power Automate cloud flow. Excel allows you to add a worksheet button that runs an associated Office Script.
So in practice, there are two supported approaches:
- Simplest option: run the flow from Excel’s Automate tab / Power Automate pane.
- Custom workaround: add an Office Script button in the workbook, and have that script call a Power Automate flow indirectly (for example, via an HTTP-triggered endpoint). Office Scripts do support external API calls when run from the Excel application, but this comes with security/authentication considerations and may require the right Power Automate licensing depending on the setup.

Given that your question involves a combination of Microsoft Excel governance and Power Automate workflow design, the most suitable place to receive specialized guidance would be the Microsoft Power Platform forum. Experts in that community can help explore alternative governance strategies, provide insights into unsupported API behavior, and monitor whether channel‑level archiving becomes supported in future updates.
I hope this explanation helps clarify why the archiving operation is not working and assists you in determining the next steps for your process. If you find this response helpful, please consider marking it as the Accepted answer, so others in the community with the same question can benefit.
Thank you again for participating in the forum, and please feel free to reach out anytime if you need further assistance.
