Hi MH, this is Kimberly, an independent advisor. I'm glad to assist you today.
Only users with admin privileges can change the time zone via the Settings app. Standard or non-admin accounts, even those in the Administrators group, see the option disabled or greyed out.
However:
Administrators can still make changes via the Control Panel (“timedate.cpl”).
Or, an elevated Command Prompt or PowerShell can be used to set the time zone via tzutil.
Open Command Prompt as Administrator (hold Ctrl + Shift while launching CMD) or run PowerShell as Admin.
List available zones:
tzutil /l
Set your correct zone (e.g.):
tzutil /s "Your Time Zone Name"
Verify:
tzutil /g
This method bypasses UI restrictions entirely.
Should you have more questions, please let me know.
Best regards,
Kimberly
