Subject: Outlook.com emails blocked by Gmail

Dear Microsoft Support Team,

Since today, I have been experiencing problems sending emails from my Outlook.com account: [Removed PII]@outlook.com].

Emails sent to Gmail addresses are rejected by Google's mail server with error code 550 5.7.1, stating that the message is likely unsolicited mail and has been blocked.

This happens even when sending an email to a single recipient. However, I can still send emails successfully to other email providers.

Could you please investigate why my emails are being blocked by Gmail and help me resolve this issue?

I can provide the full error message if needed.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind regards, Tarik

    Hello @KVSGG

I understand how frustrating this is, especially when ordinary messages to individual Gmail recipients are being rejected.

The 550 5.7.1 response indicates that Gmail’s filtering system is classifying the message as likely unsolicited mail. This can be triggered by the message content, links, attachments, formatting, or recent sending activity, even when the email is legitimate.

Please try sending a short, plain-text test email without a signature, links, images, or attachments. Also check your Microsoft account’s Recent activity for any unfamiliar sign-ins and change the password if anything looks suspicious.

If the plain-text message is delivered, add the original content back gradually to identify what Gmail is filtering. If it is still rejected, ask the Gmail recipient to add your Outlook.com address to their contacts and provide the complete delivery-failure message here, removing all personal information first.

Please note that this is a public community forum, so moderators and other members cannot directly investigate or change Gmail’s filtering decision.

Please feel free to give me an update. Have a good day
