Sorry to hear that the amount of spam has made your Junk Email folder difficult to manage. Since the strict filtering is successfully keeping most of the spam out of your Inbox, I would not recommend disabling the junk filter. Instead, the best approach is to make sure the legitimate senders you want to receive are added to your Safe senders list.
In Outlook.com:
- Open Settings > Mail > Junk email.
Under Safe senders and domains, select Add safe sender.
Add the email addresses or domains from which you regularly receive legitimate mail.
Save the changes.
Messages from addresses or domains on the Safe Senders list should no longer be moved to Junk. For legitimate messages that are already in the Junk Email folder, select the message and choose Not junk. Doing this also helps improve the junk-mail filtering.
