If Outlook is slow only for existing FSLogix profiles and works normally with a
new profile, the issue is almost always a corrupted FSLogix profile or a
bottleneck in the profile disk.
Check the following:
• FSLogix profile disk size (VHD/VHDX) – if it is large or fragmented, Outlook
becomes slow.
• Event Viewer → FSLogix → look for profile mount delays or I/O warnings.
• Storage performance of the profile share (latency > 10–15 ms causes Outlook
freezes).
• Antivirus scanning the VHDX file (very common cause).
If a new profile works fine, the quickest fix is:
- Backup the user’s existing profile VHDX.
- Create a fresh FSLogix profile.
- Let Outlook rebuild its cache.
This resolves most Outlook performance issues in AVD with FSLogix.
