Cannot remove spam calendar groups from Outlook.com

My Outlook.com account contains dozens of spam calendar groups with random names [Moderator note: PII removed]. These groups contain spam meeting invitations with inappropriate content.

The groups appear under Calendar → Groups. When I select a group and click "Leave group", Outlook asks for confirmation. After clicking "Leave", the dialog closes but the group is not removed.

I have tested this in both Safari and Google Chrome with the same result.

Please investigate and remove these spam groups from my mailbox, or provide instructions on how to permanently delete them.

    Hello Vallin Garcia Cruz,

I understand that these spam calendar groups remain under Calendar > Groups even after you select Leave group, and you have already confirmed the same result in both Safari and Chrome. Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors here cannot access your mailbox or remove those groups directly.

Since the normal Leave group action does not complete from Outlook.com, this likely needs to be checked from the Outlook.com mailbox side rather than by repeating browser troubleshooting.

Please avoid opening links, attachments, or meeting details inside those spam invitations. If the original invitation or group welcome message is still available in your mailbox or Junk Email folder, you may report it as junk or phishing. You may also check whether that original group message includes a leave link, but if the group still cannot be removed, please contact Outlook.com support directly.

    1. Go to Outlook.com and sign in.
    2. Click the Help icon (question mark) in the top right corner.
    3. In the Help pane that opens, type a brief description of your issue (e.g., "account management"), then press Enter.
    4. Scroll down the page until you see "Still need help?", click Yes.
    5. Select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser."
    6. Review the description of your issue and confirm your email address (ensure it's an email you can access).
    7. Click Confirm to create the service request and then Start chat to connect with an agent.
    8. The screen will indicate that your request has been submitted and the system is connecting you to Outlook.com live chat support, which may take a moment to load.

I hope this provides the right next steps to remove the groups or have Outlook.com support check the mailbox side.
