Can't uninstall or install a certain app

I've had severe issues trying to link my Meta Quest 2, so I've decided to try and reinstall the program. But as i tried to uninstall it through Window's installed apps. It wouldn't show the uninstall screen. So I got suggested to manually uninstall it by deleting files from:

\Program Files\Oculus
\Users[name]\AppData\Local\Oculus
\Users[name]\AppData\Roaming\Oculus

After this i tried reinstalling, but the setup file just won't pop up. I've tried several things, like repairing the .NET framework, and even removing all register file names containing Oculus or Meta Quest.

As of now, I can't use the program anymore because i cant install it, is anyone familiar with this problem? and how can i fix this?

Hi! In many cases, apps setup will not relaunch if it detects that parts of the program, like services or hidden registry keys, still exist or are in a broken state so you may need to manually delete leftover drivers:

1- Open Device Manager

2- Enable View > Show hidden devices

3- Expand USB Devices, Sound, Video and Game Controllers, and Universal Serial Bus controllers

4- Right-click and uninstall any device related to Oculus, Meta, or VR (if greyed out, that’s fine)

5.- After this reboot the system and try again.

I've tried following your steps, but it didn't make a difference unfortunatly.

It's only with this app, other apps can install.

Also on a different computer i can install it, so the installer does work.

Any other idea's?

Probably best will be to contact the manufacturer support as they should know what’s required to do a clean installation.

You could try also to open Task Scheduler and delete anything in:

Task Scheduler Library > Oculus
Task Scheduler Library > Facebook

Try installing in Safe Mode with Networking:

Boot into Safe Mode with Networking
Run the installer as Administrator
