Microsoft Planner in Teams Turn off email task notifications for MS Planner

Hi all,

We are working with Microsoft Planner in Teams. Now, whenever a task is assigned or close to due date, the assignee receives an in-app or email notification. We want to turn this off. We tried turning off the notifications on the Microsoft Planner Go to website > Plan Settings > Notifications > Turn everything off (see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/manage-planner-notifications-f6a32f83-058d-4f39-988d-8a2e932820ec#:~:text=Select%20the%20Settings%20button%20near,in%20the%20next%207%20days). But this does not seem to work.

What can we do?

Here are some steps you can take to manage those notifications:

Microsoft Planner Settings: Open Microsoft Planner. Select a plan. Click on the three dots (More) and choose Plan Settings. Navigate to Notifications. To disable notifications, simply uncheck the relevant boxes and press Save12.
Teams Notifications: If you’re using Planner within Teams, additional notifications might come from Teams itself. Confirm that email notifications related to comments or other activities are disabled for the user in Teams
