Hello MKD,
Losing an entire day of lecture notes and code is understandably upsetting.
Since you created the content in OneNote for the web and have already checked Deleted** **Notes and earlier page versions, please try the following:
- Search for a distinctive word or code snippet from the missing notes and set the search scope to All** **Notebooks.
- Confirm that you are signed in with the same Microsoft, work, or school account used when the notes were created. If you have multiple accounts, check OneNote under each one.
- Open OneDrive with that same account and check the Documents and Notebooks folders. Open each possible copy of the notebook to make sure you are viewing the correct one.
- Check whether the missing content appears under Misplaced** **Sections, or whether OneNote displays a synchronization warning.
- If the notebook is shared, ask whether another person with access moved or deleted the section.
OneNote for the web does not create local notebook backups, so if the notes are absent from the correct cloud notebook, search results, Deleted Notes, and Misplaced Sections, there may not be another self-service recovery location.
