How to adjust layout in Teams?

Hi!

Is there a way to customize the layout? For example reducing the size or hiding the sidebar with the overview of all your teams and channels?

As I work with multiple teams, and some of them are somewhat nice to hide from bypassers.
It is also nice to be able to edit documents in the Teams viewer, however the experience is diminished by having 1/5 of your screen is locked to the sidebar.

From what I can see, the layout of the main Teams page cannot be customized. Only individual Teams apps and teams can be customized as well as company branding, but not the layout of the main Teams page. The only other option is to use dark mode but that is as far as customization goes.

I also checked the settings in the new Teams app and cannot see any other options under Appearance and accessibility.
