Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.
I would check if you can open the file in VLC or not, if you can then it’s likely to be a codec issue that Film & TV isn’t compatible with.
Kind Regards,
Elise

Hi,
I thought problems with missing codec 0xc00d5212, running .AVI files in Microsoft Film & TV (and Windows Media Player), were history.
A couple of weeks ago I upgraded my video editing software to Pinnacle Studio 26 Ultimate, and wanted to re-import/ re-digitize some old SVHS- tapes, which I originally imported/ digitized using an older Pinnacle version back in 2011. Those .AVI- files still run without problems in Microsoft Film & TV.
Dazzle DVC100 was used as connector between the SVHS recorder and my PC (Win 11 Pro). As Pinnacle v26 import settings I chose video codec DV, audio codec PCM, and video SVideo. The imported file was saved as .AVI. My "new" .AVI- files are running perfect in VLC Media Player, but not in MS Film & TV (error message "missing codec 0xc00d5212").
I have read that the 0xc00d5212 message could be caused by corrupt files, but to me it seems unlikely that Pinnacle Studio 26 produces such files.
Is this problem running certain .AVI files a known issue with MS Film & TV on Win 11 Pro? - If yes, is there a fix or another kind of solution to this problem? I could go on running my .AVI files on VLC, but would prefer to use MS Film & TV. :-)
In advance thank you for answers.
