Hi,
My computer was in sleep mode overnight, and when I opened it in the morning it wouldn't connect to the internet. There isn't even a "find networks" button.
I was connected via a VPN and WiFi. In my attempts to get online I have now uninstalled the VPN, and restored the computer to factory settings, which didn't solve my problem. This is a laptop without an Ethernet port. I have used this VPN for months without issue, and have previously been able to connect to WiFi also when it has been disabled, but I don't know what else could have caused this issue.
When I run the network troubleshooter, it tells me "you're connected via a virtual network card which we can't test". Annoyingly my computer is in Norwegian and I can't change the system language while offline - I have translated "nettverkskort" literally above, I think the English word for it might be "network adapter", but I'm unsure. In the device manager there are 8 different things under "nettverkskort", all of which are named "WAN Miniport" something.
Please help?

Thanks
Ivan, thank you for wanting to help. The issue seems to have resolved itself, I have no idea how. I turned the computer back on for the 5th or 6th time today - and the WiFi was back.
Hi Ivan,
It's an Acer Swift SF314-43.
Thank you!
