Azure에서 호스트되는 IoT(사물 인터넷) 애플리케이션 플랫폼입니다.
Hello @Park Chongbum
Thank you for the follow-up, and I apologize for the confusion in my previous response.
Microsoft has now published official guidance regarding the future of Azure IoT Central. According to the current Microsoft Learn documentation, new Azure IoT Central application creation became unavailable starting September 23, 2026, and existing Azure IoT Central applications can continue to operate as-is through September 20, 2029.
The retirement/transition should therefore not be interpreted as applying only to the regions listed in the notification. In particular, the fact that Japan East was not included in the impacted-region list does not mean that IoT Central will continue indefinitely in Japan East after the overall IoT Central transition date.
For your existing IoT Central applications across EU, Japan, and US regions, Microsoft's official guidance is to plan a transition toward the modern Azure IoT architecture. Microsoft specifically points to Azure IoT Hub and Device Provisioning Service (DPS) for device connectivity and provisioning, along with Azure Device Registry and Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
Therefore, you do not necessarily need to build your IoT solution outside of Azure or move everything to Japan East. Microsoft is providing an Azure-based modernization path for existing IoT Central solutions.
I recommend reviewing the official Microsoft guidance here:
Azure IoT Central is evolving - Microsoft Learn
Since you are currently scaling applications across multiple regions, I would recommend beginning the migration assessment based on this official guidance rather than planning to consolidate the applications in Japan East.
Hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any further queries.
