Subject: Stale Price Data for Certain KRX ETFs in Excel Stocks Data Type
Hello,
I am reporting an issue with the Stocks linked data type in Microsoft Excel.
The current price data for certain ETFs listed on the Korea Exchange (KRX) has not been updated for several days, although the linked data types remain valid and manual refresh completes without resolving the issue.
The affected KRX ETF symbols currently identified are:
0115E0
0167A0
0117V0
0080G0
0177X0
0209D0
The formulas used to retrieve the prices are working correctly, and other KRX instruments, including individual stocks, continue to update normally. The issue therefore appears to be specific to the price data or symbol mapping for these ETFs.
Please investigate whether there is a service-side or financial data provider issue affecting these KRX ETF symbols.
Environment:
- Product: Microsoft Excel for Microsoft 365
- Feature: Stocks linked data type
- Exchange: Korea Exchange (XKRX)
- Issue: Current prices remain stale for several days
- Manual refresh: Does not resolve the issue
Thank you.
Best regards,
Lee SeungHun

Hi, SeungHun Lee
Since other KRX instruments refresh normally and only these ETFs remain stale, this is unlikely to be caused by the workbook, formulas, or Excel installation. The behavior is more consistent with outdated source data or an incorrect symbol mapping in the Stocks data service.
Here are some suggestions you can try:
In a new blank workbook, enter one affected symbol, select Data > Stocks, and verify that Excel matches it to the correct ETF on XKRX. If necessary, use the data selector to choose the correct listing manually.
Right-click the linked cell and select Data Type > Refresh, or select Data > Refresh All. If the price remains unchanged in both the original and new workbook, reinstalling or repairing Office is unlikely to help.
Submit a report through Help > Feedback in Excel. Include the six symbols, exchange code XKRX, the last correct price/date, and a small sample workbook.
For a business subscription, ask the Microsoft 365 administrator to report it under Health > Service health > Report an issue. This is the most effective route for a provider-side investigation. A similar selective or server-side refresh issue cannot generally be corrected from the Microsoft Learn forum.
