NOTE: You cannot directly use AzCopy to migrate from a CIFS NAS on Windows Server to an NFS NAS in Azure, AzCopy is a command-line utility that you can use to copy data to, from, or between Azure storage accounts.
Recommended Approach
Since AzCopy does not support Windows-to-NFS directly, the most practical solution is:
Mount both CIFS and NFS shares on a Linux VM in Azure.
Use rsync for the migration.
- Validate permissions and ownership after transfer.
