Many users have reported the same issue recently but Microsoft has not yet officially confirmed the issue or announced a fix date.

Please check your Excel version. If it is 2.113.5, check the App Store for a newer update. Until an update is available, I recommend avoiding important edits in the iPad app and temporarily using Excel for the web in Safari.

If the file is still open, try Save a Copy with a different name before closing it. Please do not reinstall Excel until any locally stored files have been backed up, because unsynchronized changes could be lost.

これは、最近のアップデート後に iPad/iPhone 版 Excel で発生し始めている新しい問題のようです。同じ現象を報告しているユーザーが複数います。Excel が保存中のまま停止したり、変更内容が保存されなかったりすることがあり、ファイルが端末内に保存されている場合でも、OneDrive やその他のクラウドストレージに保存されている場合でも発生する可能性があります。

現時点では、この問題について Microsoft からの公式な認知や修正情報は確認できていません。

一時的な回避策として、可能であれば Safari または Chrome から Excel for the web を使ってブックを開いてみてください。同じ問題が発生している他のユーザーからは、ブラウザー版では正常に保存できているとの報告があります。
