Review your Azure Reserved VM Instances for select VM series that will no longer be available to purchase or renew starting 1 July 2026

You're receiving this notification because you're associated with one or more Azure subscriptions that use Azure Reserved VM Instances for select VM series.

Starting 1 July 2026, purchases and renewals will no longer be available for the following Azure Reserved VM Instances (RIs):

One-year RIs for the VM series Av2, Amv2, Bv1, D, Ds, Dv2, Dsv2, F, Fs, Fsv2, G, Gs, Ls, and Lsv2.

One-year and three-year RIs for the VM series Dv3, Dsv3, Ev3, and Esv3.

Recommended action

To avoid unexpected billing changes or lapses in commitment savings, review your current RI orders for impacted VMs and their expiration dates.

If you don't take action before 1 July 2026, these VM workloads will be billed at pay-as-you-go rates once their corresponding RIs expire, even if they're set to auto-renew. Existing RIs will continue through their term and aren't impacted.

Please refer to our documentation for information to help you plan for and mitigate the cost impact of these RIs becoming unavailable, such as considering Azure savings plan for compute or migrating to newer-generation VM series.
