After the KB5065426 installation we've problem in connecting to a Windows 11's share from another Windows 11 (with the same patch).

The server system ask for credentials and even if we insert them the system won't accept them.

The only solution is to uninstall the KB5065426.

Same situation if I try to connect to the Windows 11 share from a Windows 2025 Server

Thanks anybody

Luca

I think we've found solution (or the case in which this happens).

It seems that something is happening when there are 2 computer with the same SID.

This because the two computer are cloned with some tool.

We've tryed to change SID with this tool https://www.stratesave.com/html/sidchg.html and it seems that the problem is solved.

I don't know if there's a better solution to change SID for a workstation already in production.

    Hi Harry,

    thanks for your support.

I can imagine that everything is depending for giving better security to the system.

But we've a lot of customers that are calling us for this problem and at the moment the only solution is to uninstall the KB.

    We've just now tryed to:

    • set the same user and password on both the Windows 11 --> any change
    • modify the LANMAN WORKSTATION on both the gpedit --> any change

Hoping to find soon a solution.

    Caro Luca,

    Migliori saluti
