Una soluzione integrata di protezione delle minacce progettata per rilevare, indagare e rispondere alle minacce informatiche su tutti i servizi Microsoft 365.
Hi Paolo,
The message “The license is not valid. Contact your administrator.” typically appears when Defender isn’t able to confirm that the account on the mobile device is properly linked to the shared subscription. Even though your son is over 16 and you’ve already removed any previous antivirus apps, Defender on Android can sometimes misinterpret child accounts or run into issues with how the subscription is recognized on mobile platforms.
Here’s what I recommend trying:
Check Family Sharing and Subscription Status Visit family.microsoft.com and confirm that your son’s Microsoft account is listed under your family group. Then go to account.microsoft.com/services to make sure your Microsoft 365 Family subscription is active and properly shared with him.
Reinstall Defender on the Mobile Devices Uninstall Microsoft Defender from your son’s tablet and phone. Restart the devices, then reinstall Defender from the Play Store. When signing in, make sure to use your son’s Microsoft account not yours.
Avoid Work or School Account Conflicts On the mobile devices, go to Settings > Accounts and check that no Microsoft account is listed as a work or school account. If one is, sign out of it before trying to activate Defender.
Accept Any Setup Prompts After signing in, you may receive a prompt to approve Defender setup for your son’s device. Accepting this helps finalize the activation.
Let me know how it goes I’m here to help
