Cannot Install second Windows System on Computer
Hello!
I've been trying to download windows 10 as a secondary OS (i currently use Windows 11) for days now.
Here's the whole setup:
Current: Windows 11 installed on M.2 NVMe SSD (UEFI, GPT)
I want to install Windows 10 as a second OS (dual boot)
Target drive is a separate SATA HDD (GPT)
BIOS mode: UEFI SATA mode: AHCI (Intel RST already disabled)
motherboard: ASUS TUF B660-plus wifi d4
Things i did:
Downloaded Windows 10 using the official Microsoft Media Creation Tool.
Created a bootable USB installer.
Booted from USB in UEFI mode.
Chose Custom install.
Selected the separate HDD as target.
Deleted partitions on that HDD and let setup create new ones.
Problem itself:
During installation I get:
“Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation.”
Bonus information:
Multiple drives are connected (NVMe + SATA SSD + SATA HDD),
I cannot disable NVMe in BIOS
Thanks for the replies in Advance!
