Can you try a clean Windows 11 reinstall?
Slow bootup and slow working for a few minutes - Windows 11 on PC
Hi!
I have a problem that my newly installed Windows 11 is booting up and working very slowly for the first few minutes. I created a new question because as I reckon every build has specific issues.
The specs of the PC:
CPU: Intel Core i3-10100F 4 core 3.6 GHz
24 GB RAM
Motherboard: ASRock H410M-HVS
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. P1.30 2020.08.11 (recommended version for Windows 11 by the manufacturer of the motherboard)
Microsoft version: 10.0.26100
Ultra fast boot is enabled, the only thing I have tried in the UEFI setups is to change the Legacy USB Support from Enabled to UEFI Setpu Only.
Any ideas on how to make the bootup faster and how to avoid the first few minutes of slow working?

2024-12-29T09:18:39+00:00 Thanks for the recommendation, but sadly I do not believe that would solve the issue. The bootup and the whole system was slow from the beginning. The PC was originally installed with Windows 10, and it was usually painfully slow. I updated it to Windows 11 without a "clean" install - so I kept my files, apps etc. untouched - but it hasn't got better. The current version is a completly clean install. I honestly believe this is something in the BIOS/UEFI, or some compatibility issue, but my knowledge is very limited in this area, that is why I asked for help.
The strange thing is that I have Windows 11 installed on my laptop, too. It has originally also came with Windows 10, and it was me updating everything, so I am capable of doing it right.

I haven't even used third party driver updating softwares, every driver is either updated by Windows Update or installed manually according to the manufacturer's recommendation.

2024-12-28T00:59:29+00:00 Did you use so called optimization tools, did you disable "unneeded" services? I may suppose the problem is in disabling some services.
