Azure Virtual Machine: Unable to Enable B-series VM Sizes in East US 2 — SKU Availability Restriction
Problem description
I am trying to deploy a B-series VM size, specifically Standard_B2als_v2, for an Ubuntu virtual machine in the East US 2 region. Although my subscription shows sufficient quota for the B-family in East US 2, I am unable to select or deploy this size. The az vm list-skus command indicates that this size is NotAvailableForSubscription in East US 2 and other checked regions.
Environment
Azure Virtual Machine running Ubuntu in East US 2 region, targeting size Standard_B2als_v2.
What I've already tried
I checked SKU availability using az vm list-skus, which showed NotAvailableForSubscription for the desired size. I confirmed that my subscription has sufficient quota (65 vCPUs) for the B-series family in East US 2. I also verified that the current VM is in a running state and that deallocating it would be necessary to resize, but the core issue appears to be a subscription-level SKU restriction.
Current status
I need assistance to understand why the Standard_B2als_v2 size is not available for my subscription in East US 2 and to find out how to enable or access this VM size for deployment.
