Hi there, I understand how important it is to quickly find the right folder when you’re working.

The reason you don’t see a search box in the folder pane is that Outlook doesn’t currently include a built-in feature for searching folder names in that area, the magnifying glass only searches emails, not folders.

A simple workaround is to use the Go to Folder option: on Windows, press Ctrl + Y, and on Mac, use Cmd + Shift + G.

This opens a dialog where you can type the folder name and jump straight to it.

If you’re using Outlook on the web, there’s actually a folder search bar at the top of the folder list, so that might be worth trying.

Can you confirm which version of Outlook you’re using, Windows, Mac, or Web?
